Learning comes in many forms, the most important of which is an exchange that takes place between the students and their teachers. For three days in Hanoi, the teachers were not University of Maryland professors, but young children who struggle with poverty and disease every day. Through our partnership with the amazing faculty at Operation Smile, the students not only learned about overcoming hardships, but left behind a message of hope and love for the children at the hospital.
Our experience is presented in three parts:
Partnerships: The people who made it all possible.
Process: Bringing a good idea to fruition.
Lessons: What we gave, and what we took home with us.
